How do I pay for work on VELOS?
VELOS uses a wallet system that you can top up with any amount—from £1 to £1m—you then use your balance to pay for your jobs to be completed by the VELOS contributors.
Can I top up my wallet in any currency?
At present, all top-ups to the VELOS wallet are in Great British Pounds (GBP).
I'm a business, how is tax calculated for work done on VELOS?
Depending on your domicile and tax status, VAT (value-added tax) for the UK is automatically included/excluded in the price. You can download your VAT invoices from the ‘Billing’ section in your ‘Settings’.
My wallet is empty, can I still submit work to VELOS?
Yes, you can add additional jobs at any time, even if your balance is zero. However, your job(s) will just be held in the system until your wallet is topped up. At that point, your job(s) will be released to the VELOS contributors to work on.
Is there a set amount I have to top up my account with?
You can top-up your wallet with any amount, even a small amount that doesn’t cover all the work you have pending in VELOS. In this case, each row will be released to the contributors in the order they were submitted.
How is the cost of work deducted from my balance?
Your job(s) are released to the VELOS contributors in the order they were submitted. The cost of the work (including any applicable taxes) is deducted from your balance at the time it is released to the contributors.
Can I stop a job from using my balance?
Yes, you can stop a particular job being sent to the contributors before it has been released, by ‘Pausing’ the job. You can also remove the job from your view by ‘Archiving’ it. A job that is 'Paused' or 'Archived' will not be sent to contributors unless it is ‘Resumed’ (if paused) or ‘Unarchived’ and then resumed (if archived).
If I put more money in my wallet than I need, am I able to get a refund on the balance?

Can I cancel a job once I submit and pay for it?
The CloudFactory workforce will usually commence work almost immediately after you submit and pay for your job. However, in many cases, it is possible to obtain a refund for any work that has yet to start.
To place your job on hold, use the 'Pause' option in VELOS. This will stop any further work being started. Then contact the VELOS support team at email@example.com and we will be happy to help.
